Scholarship Selection Process

At iDANZ, we believe in opening doors for passionate dancers to experience world-class training opportunities. To ensure fairness and impact, all applicants will complete an online application sharing their background in dance, personal goals, and why they want to attend the Ballet Intensive hosted by Brown Girls Do Ballet.

Our selection committee will carefully review each application to identify dancers who demonstrate:

    •    Dedication to their craft and a strong desire to grow as an artist

    •    Commitment to excellence, both in the studio and beyond

    •    Authenticity and passion in expressing why this opportunity matters to them

Recipients will be chosen based on the strength of their responses, not on prior training or financial background. This process ensures that every dancer selected truly values the experience of skill evaluation, hands-on training, and mentorship from industry professionals.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What to Expect During the Intensive

This Ballet Intensive is designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate every dancer who walks through our doors. Throughout the day, participants will receive hands-on, high-quality training from industry professionals while developing the skills needed to excel both inside and outside the studio.

Dancers will experience:

    •    Skill Evaluation – Personalized feedback to identify strengths and areas for           growth.

    •    Flexibility & Control – Focused training to improve range of motion,                        strength, and body alignment.

    •    Ballet Etiquette – Understanding the discipline, professionalism, and                      respect that ballet demands.

    •    Industry Expectations – Insights into what it takes to succeed in today’s                professional dance world.

    •    Choreography Execution – Learning, retaining, and performing complex              movement with precision and artistry.

This will be a full day of intense instruction—a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the discipline of ballet and take your technique to the next level.
